Absolutely, port 1352 is open. I have Reader access to all the databases. The problem lies in the registration process, a fact that was acknowledged today by IBM, see Database 'Notes/Domino 6 Forum', View '(NotesThreads)', Document 'It worked!' (this posting was written using a Notes Client).
